My dream started with me watching Blake Bortles with my friend Boston. He isn’t the type of friend that you dream about because we aren’t that close. But we watched him as he played in his prime. After his game, he came up to us and we asked what would you be doing if you hadn’t found football what would you be doing. Blake Bortles thought for a while. He said probably working construction and ripping cigs. You have to consider passion and profit sometimes. He looked at me and said What would you do for passion Noah? The dreamscape flipped to the setting of a dream that I had previously. It cuts to a card store I remember from my childhood that closed down. I walked through it with my friend Lewis (who I run a business with currently) and Lolo (my grandfather). We were back in Hawaii, where I was originally from. We looked at the empty store and walked through the remnants. I explained to Lewis that this place was my favorite place to go to buy pokemon cards when I was younger. It closed sometime after I had left to move to California. We talked about how it was risky to buy the property and start a business. If it hadn't succeeded in the past why would we bother with opening a new card store. We told the real estate agent that we wouldn't purchase the property and as we were about to leave, Lolo blocked the exit and told me, “If you have passion, then you have to commit.” He lit dynamite and threw it at me and Lewis. I remember being blown back the all of the sudden Lewis and I were running the store. We had tons of visitors and customers. The once rundown store front was lively and successful. My friends entered the store and asked for a card. I searched for a while in the massive inventory. Found the cards and sold it. My friends called me to hang out the next day and we went to the state park at manoa falls. I remember it vividly. Johnson had needed to use the bathroom so we let him out. Boston was there again for some reason driving us in our truck. As we waited for Johnson to get back we saw a girl looking at us. I recognized her as someone from one of my classes who I followed on Instagram, but she did not follow me back. Boston told me to get out and talk to her. I refused and got flustered. We kept driving and saw a girl on a bike. I said johnson would like her so i went out and asked for her name. I got it and gave it to Johnson, he said how can you talk for me but not yourself. In the distance I saw the sword that I found that night in real life. A marker used for construction painted pink with a ribbon tied on it. The scene cuts. I had a dream maybe last week where we were fishing and Jaden caught a fish with a firefighter hat on it. We left it at my Lolo’s house in Hawaii. We saw that storms were brewing in California. I told Jaden, Johnson, William, and Ethan that we would have to go and get the weapons to protect from the league. Ethan and William went to get their weapons, but jaden Johnson and I went back to hawaii to retrieve what we got in the fishing dream. Johnson got a fishing rod, and Jaden looked for the fish with the fire hat, but the fish had lost its hat. I suggested he screw it on with a drill and he did so. We teleported back to california and stood at the top of Mt wilson. (my favorite hiking spot.) lightning all around I saw we faced the conflict head on. The antagonist revealed herself to be the league of my exes. The sword I found at night manifested in my hand and the dream ended there.
Dreams often reflect our subconscious thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and your dream seems to weave together themes of passion, risk, memory, personal growth, and confrontation. Let's break down the major elements of your dream:
Blake Bortles and Passion: The interaction with Blake Bortles, someone who represents success in sports, hints at a contemplation of your own passions and career path. His statement about balancing "passion and profit" resonates with a struggle you might be facing in your waking life regarding what to pursue for fulfillment and financial stability. The question he poses—"What would you do for passion?"—may be an invitation for you to reflect on your interests and the relationship between them and your professional life.
The Card Store and Nostalgia: The visit to the card store, a nostalgic element from your childhood, symbolizes a return to your roots. It suggests that you may be revisiting your childhood passions or interests that could influence your current endeavors. The conversation about the risks in starting the business may reflect your own fears or uncertainties about pursuing something that has failed in the past. Lolo's intervention with the dynamite signifies a powerful push to confront that fear and the importance of commitment when it comes to following your passion.
Social Interactions and Self-Expression: The encounters with friends in the dream, particularly your interactions with Boston and the girl you recognized, showcase feelings of social dynamics and perhaps a hesitation in expressing yourself in social situations. This could reflect a desire to connect with others or a fear of rejection when it comes to new relationships or social opportunities.
The Sword and Conflict: The sword appears as a recurring motif. It symbolizes power, strength, and the readiness to confront challenges, possibly your internal struggles or relationships with past partners (the "league of exes"). The dream of preparing for conflict indicates your readiness to face and address issues or challenges in your life.
Environment and Emotional Landscape: The shifts between locations—Hawaii, California, and other places—suggest a journey of self-discovery and exploration. Each location has emotional significance, with Hawaii representing comfort and childhood memories, while California may symbolize new challenges and aspirations.
Lightning and Confrontation: The climactic tensions of standing atop Mt. Wilson with lightning signify high emotions and the climax of your struggles. Facing your "exes" metaphorically might be about reconciling with past relationships or emotions you've been carrying.
In summary, your dream seems to suggest a deep reflection on your passions, the balance between risk and commitment, and the importance of confronting your past to shape your future. This might be a pivotal time in your life where you are being encouraged to pursue your passions actively, take risks, and enhance your self-expression in both personal and professional arenas.
